Rear Vision is a show on Radio National of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation that “puts contemporary events in their historical context.”  The presenter is Keri Phillips and on Monday, October 19, 2015, the show looked at the history of zoos and how they have adapted to the concerns of animal welfare advocates and the existential threat to animals in the wild.  I am guest along with Michael Hutchins, Michael Graetz, Ben Minteer, Bryan Norton, and Claire Fryer.  About 29 minutes long.

 

“Odyssey with Gretchen Helfrich.” Chicago Public Radio. June 28, 2004.  This is an extended interview about the history of zoos.  I was on Gretchen Helfrich’s show with the zoo historian Rory Browne, of Boston, MA.  About 50 minutes long.

 

“Todd Mundt Show.” National Public Radio. February 10, 2003.  This is an interview about Savages and Beasts on a show I admired — and miss — very much.  About 25 minutes long.
