Becoming a User

Users of the Advanced Analysis Facility are those individuals who have received training on one or more instruments and have been granted access to work unsupervised by AAF staff.

To become a user contact Dr. Steve Hardcastle to discuss your sample analysis needs and schedule time(s) for instrument training.  Training will involve receipt of the AAF laboratory manual along with standard operating procedure for the instrument.

Typically, a new user will work alongside AAF staff for two or three sessions before they are asked to perform a proficiency test.  After passing the instrument proficiency test the new user will gain access to the instrument scheduling calendar and access to the facility during normal business hours.
