Old Federal Building

515 East Wisconsin Avenue

Architects: Willoughby J. Edbrooke/James Knox Taylor 1892-99

The Old Federal Building is an excellent example of the Richardsonian Romanesque style that was often used for governmental buildings in the late 19th century. The granite used in the building is a mix of Athelstane Granite from Wisconsin and Rockville White from Rockville, Minnesota.
