Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company Building

720 East Wisconsin Avenue

Architects: Marshall & Fox (Chicago) 1912

The facades of the Neo-Classical Revival building are dominated by 74′ high Corinthian columns with elaborately carved capitals. The crispness of carved granite can be seen in these capitals.

The almost-uniformly white granite of the exterior is the Bethel White Granite coming from quarries in Woodbury, Vermont.
