The National Archives, London – On 2 April 2003 the Public Record Office, the Historic Manuscripts Commission, and the National Register of Archives merged to form a new organization: The National Archives. Click here for information on classes of Medieval and Early Modern Records.

Repositories of Primary Sources – Lists repositories of manuscripts, archives, rare books, historical photographs, and other collections of primary sources around the world. No longer maintained after January 2015.

English Monastic Archives – Research project seeking to reconstruct the archives of every medieval English monastery, and to elucidate the origins of record-keeping in England. Based at University College London, and directed by Professor David d’Avray. In progress.
