Customized Inkjet Printing of Graphene-Based Real-time Water Sensors
Nanofabricated sensors for impurities in water have shown great promise, but have seen limited deployment because of relatively high manufacturing costs. This Project seeks to reduce the manufacturing costs of contaminant sensors by creating technologies to economically inkjet print graphene based sensors. The Project is a collaboration of multiple groups across universities including the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, The University of Wisconsin – Madison, Marquette University, and Northwestern University. The Advanced Structure’s Laboratory is specifically working on design, creation, and analysis of the printing substrate.
This project seeks to create new mass manufacturing methods to create inexpensive and reliable water quality sensors.
